Business owners and managers have their days filled with constant busywork that takes away from what matters most – output vs. outcome. But it doesn’t have to be that way. The digital transformation sweeping through small businesses up to larger enterprises is automating distractions and extracting efficiency, allowing businesses to focus on delivering great products and services. From user-friendly scheduling software and labor forecasting to measuring employee morale, there is a plethora of technology available to business owners to better run their operations.
What happens oftentimes is that businesses don’t want to try new ways of doing things because change is difficult. It feels risky and effortful, but being open to adopting new technologies separates businesses that grow from those that stagnate.
Throughout my career, I’ve seen first-hand that successful organizations cultivate engaged employees. They monitor employee feedback closely and adjust working conditions as needed.
