WIU Organization, Accountancy Programs Retain AACSB Accreditation

MACOMB (WGEM) — Western Illinois University’s company and accountancy plans have taken care of their accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Educational institutions of Small business.

Craig Conrad is the College or university of Business & Technological innovation Interim Dean at WIU. He stated this demonstrates they are carrying out their aspect as educators.

Conrad said are 800-plus colleges accredited by AACSB and an even lesser amount that has both equally small business and accountancy accreditation.

“There are only about 187-190 institutions have both equally the organization and supplemental accounting accreditation,” he said. “When we get a search at that throughout the world with all the business courses out there. AACSB International was established in 1916 and is the longest-serving world wide accrediting body for company educational institutions that supply undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees in business enterprise and accounting.
