Florida Southern School has named William Quilliam as the inaugural receiver of The Louise Templeton Endowed Chair in Accounting at the Barney Barnett College of Organization and Cost-free Company.
Quilliam is an associate professor of accounting, department chair, and Master of Accountancy system director.
He arrived to Florida Southern in 2010, having taught accounting because 1986 at institutions such as the College of Florida, the College of Central Florida and the University of South Florida, FSC explained in a information launch.
He teaches monetary accounting, price/managerial accounting, auditing, and accounting information systems.

The late Louise E. Templeton served as a professor of accounting in Florida Southern’s Department of Business enterprise Administration from 1954 until finally her retirement in 1979, getting the title of Professor of Enterprise Emerita in 1987.
Early in her occupation at FSC, she wrote of “the private properties needed by the accounting career and its users – honesty, integrity, neatness, conciseness, and high moral standards.”
“As the first member of our distinguished school to be appointed as The Louise Templeton Endowed Chair in Accountancy, Dr. Quilliam embodies the best criteria of personal and academic excellence,” reported Brad Hollingshead, provost and vice president for tutorial affairs, in the release. “This appointment is a properly-deserved recognition of his motivation to accountancy and to the results of the tough-doing work scholars who enter this important fiscal job.”
